ACS approved cables for drinkable water immersion
Our production includes cables made with special phthalate-free PVC cables, suitable to operate while permanently immersed in drinking water, hence qualified for use with food products.
These materials, certified by Lille´s Pasteur Institute, based on the tests performed under the provisions of the XP P 41-250-1,2,3 and NFP 41-290 standards, are compliant with the strict requirements of the French Healthcare Directive DGS/VS4 No. 99-217-1999 (the so-called Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire, ACS), regulating the release of substances believed to be noxious (heavy metals, PCB, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, organic carbon, nitrogen oxide, ammonium, etc.) in drinking water by permanently immersed devices.
Obviously our cables are compliant also with the requirements set out in the HD 22.16 standard, the same of our H07RN8-F cables, as well as with those in the NF C 15-100 Par. 321.4 - AD8 French standard (the so-called AD8 certification), which regulate the stability of electrical and mechanical properties of cables destined for permanent immersion, by means of a water ageing test lasting 100 days at 50°C.
